Kamay Ferry Wharves

The NSW Government is replacing the previous ferry wharves at La Perouse and Kurnell as part of the Kamay Botany Bay National Park, Kurnell Master Plan.

The Gujaga Foundation were engaged to deliver the designing with Country outcomes for the project at both La Perouse and Kurnell which included:

  • Guiding the cultural narrative in partnership with senior elders of our community

  • Community engagement strategy and facilitation – through in person consultation, interviews and community wide workshops

  • Provide the cultural heritage content to support the project

  • Provide cultural capacity sessions for the project team on Country to support their understanding of the Aboriginal people of Coastal Sydney
